Visiting this website

This website shares nature photographs, stories, and creative projects. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and requests to operate and protect the website.

Writing to Mikey

The contact links open your own email app. If you send a message to mikeysmelons@gmail.com, we receive the email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond and handle your request. Email is handled through Gmail.

The path counter

The home page displays an aggregate visit count. A temporary sessionStorage marker in your browser prevents that tab session from repeatedly adding visits. The counter stores a total, rather than names, email addresses, or individual browsing histories. Return visits may be counted again; this is a visit count, not a count of unique people. If the counter service is unavailable, the page displays a welcome message instead.

Website features and outside links

This version’s navigation and discovery features run in your browser. The packaged website does not include an advertising tracker or a newsletter signup form. Links to shops, social platforms, videos, or other websites may take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can browse without sending us a message. Please include only information you want to share when contacting us. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you have sent us, email mikeysmelons@gmail.com. We will consider your request and any records we need to retain.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the website’s information practices change.
